Product Information & Warranty Terms

Product Quality & Returns

All components sold are brand new and/or fully remanufactured to original manufacturer specifications. All components are tested on industrial-specific machines to ensure quality and safety.

Remanufactured Products: If you have purchased a remanufactured product, we must receive your old unit back or a surcharge will apply. If you have not been charged a deposit at the time of sale, the product will not be delivered by the courier unless the old unit is ready for collection at the time of delivery.

Important: It is your responsibility to check all proper part numbers to ensure your part is suitable for your vehicle.

Return Postage: All postage return costs are incurred by the buyer. We may pay for postage under some situations, but this is entirely at our discretion.

Installation Requirements

All components must be installed by a qualified automotive technician or this will void your warranty. Any components damaged by improper fitting or external factors are void of their warranty.

Warranty Coverage

DOMAT Automotive Engineering (the Company) warrants to the original buyer only that the goods which are the subject of all and any sales:

  • Conform to the Company's specifications
  • Shall be free from defects in material or workmanship for 12 months from the date of sale

Warranty Claim Procedure

Any failure, non-conformity to specification, or defect in material or workmanship discovered within the warranty period must be:

  • Notified to the Company in writing
  • Accompanied by the original proof of payment
  • Accompanied by the original warranty card supplied during purchase
  • Returned freight prepaid to the Company within 12 months from the original date of sale

If after inspection by the Company it is determined that the product does not conform to the Company's specifications or is defective in material or workmanship, the Company shall, at its own option, either supply a replacement product free of charge and refund any freight charges incurred by the buyer in returning the product. This is the exclusive remedy to the buyer for breach of warranty.

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Damage in transit
  • Abuse or misuse
  • Incorrect installation or service
  • Natural disaster
  • Unauthorised modification

Important: Any claim under warranty will be disallowed if the product has been tampered with in any way before return to the Company.

Limitation of Liability

In no case shall the Company be liable for any special, incidental or consequential damage (including, without limitation, loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of use of the goods or any associated equipment, cost of capital, cost of substitute equipment, facilities or services, downtime, claims to third parties, and injury to persons or property) based upon breach of warranty, breach of contract, negligence, strict liability in tort, or any other legal theory.

Risk Allocation

This limited warranty allocates the risks of product failure between the Company and the buyer. This allocation is recognised by both parties and is reflected in the price of the goods.

Complete Agreement

This written warranty and limitation of remedies is understood to be the complete and exclusive agreement between the parties, superseding all prior agreements, oral and written, and all other communications between the parties relating to the subject matter of this warranty.

No employee, agent or distributor of the Company or any other person is authorised to state or imply any additional warranties on behalf of the Company, nor to assume for the Company any other liability in connection with any of its products, unless made in writing and signed by an officer of the Company.
